DOMUSAPULIAE · MONOPOLI

Privacy and contact information.

How we use information when you visit the website or enquire about a stay.

This notice covers browsing the website and enquiries about information and availability. The information provided when booking also applies to the management of your stay.

Who handles your data

The data controller is Domus Apuliae di Francesco Palmitessa & C. S.a.s. (VAT and tax identification no. 04899430724), at Via Nino Bixio 269, 70043 Monopoli (BA), Italy. You can contact us by email at domusapuliaemonopoli@gmail.com or by phone on +39 333 852 0076. The accommodation is located at Via Nino Bixio 269, Monopoli.

The enquiry form

The form prepares a message in your browser with your dates, guest numbers, apartment preference and any notes. It does not store these details on the website or send them to a DomusApuliae server. Selecting “Open WhatsApp” transfers the text to WhatsApp, where you can review it before sending. You can also contact us by phone or email.

Only include information needed to arrange your stay. Do not use the notes to send documents, payment details or health information.

Why we use your contact details

When you contact us, we use the contact details and information you provide to reply, check availability and offer a stay. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b), GDPR). Information needed to manage a booking is processed to perform the contract and meet applicable legal obligations (Article 6(1)(b) and (c)). The form does not subscribe you to a newsletter.

Providing data is optional; without dates, guest numbers or contact details, we may not be able to give a complete answer. An enquiry is not a booking.

Data retention

The form does not retain data after you use the page. Enquiries received by email or WhatsApp that do not lead to bookings are kept for as long as needed to respond and manage contact, up to a maximum of 12 months after the last contact. Information that is no longer needed may be deleted earlier.

If an enquiry leads to a booking, data needed for the stay, the contractual relationship and tax obligations is retained in accordance with the applicable requirements and periods described in the booking information. Where specific obligations or a dispute arise, only relevant data may be kept for as long as needed to meet those obligations or protect the company’s rights.

Browsing and hosting

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The hosting provider may process technical connection data, such as your IP address, browser information, time and requested resource, to deliver and protect the service. Please also read Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Maps, video, external services and cookies

The website code does not set cookies through the form or gallery and does not embed analytics tools or advertising trackers. The Google map is disabled when the page opens: it connects to Google services only when you select “Show Google map”. You can also use the external directions link.

The Monopoli video uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). The player is not loaded until you select “Watch Monopoli”. After you click, YouTube/Google receives technical connection data and applies its own privacy policy. You can also open the video using the external link.

Booking, WhatsApp, YouTube and Google Maps are external services with their own terms and privacy policies. Using them may involve the processing and transfer of data outside the European Economic Area under the arrangements and safeguards described by each provider.

Read the privacy policies of Booking, WhatsApp and Google, as well as the Google cookie information.

Who can access your data

Enquiries are handled personally by the company representative responsible for guest contact. They are not assigned to other enquiry-handling staff.

The website and communications use Cloudflare Pages for hosting, Google/Gmail for email and WhatsApp for messages. These providers process data according to their respective roles, terms and privacy policies. Enquiries are not published on the website. Any recipients needed to manage a booking are described in the information relating to your stay.

Your rights

In the circumstances and subject to the conditions set out in Articles 15–22 of the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, and object to processing where applicable. To exercise your rights, write to domusapuliaemonopoli@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority. The form does not make automated decisions or carry out profiling.
